In this 2-day class, we'll make the dough and fold in the butter on Day 1, let it chill overnight, and Day 2 we will shape and bake the croissants. While we wait the two and a half hours for the croissants to proof, students will make a homemade Nutella and an orange marmalade to enjoy with their croissants and take home. This process is an arm workout! If you get tired mixing a batter or dough by hand, you will not enjoy this; a lot of rolling pin on stiff dough action, but it is so worth it. This course includes both demo and hands-on components that you will learn in Ivy Tech’s professional kitchens!

This class is not eligible for fee remission for Ivy Tech employees due to limited capacity. Please see our CLL fee remission guidelines for more information.

NOTES:

-  All CLL baking and cooking classes culminate with a shared meal or supplementary food that will be available during the class.

-  All supplies included. Students will receive copies of the recipes, as well as any remaining food to take home. Please bring containers to take home any leftovers.

-  We will do our best to accommodate dietary/allergy restrictions, though please be aware of the class details and potential limitations of ingredient substitution.
