Mosaics (Grades 6-8)

Anyone can make mosaics! In this hands-on exploratory camp for rising 6th-8th graders, practicing artist Sara Colvard will guide you step-by-step through the process of creating beautiful and durable works of mosaic art. You’ll learn principles of artistic design; how to safely cut glass, tile, and stone; and use professional tools and techniques to make several unique artworks that express your personal style and will wow your family and friends. We’ll also take a peek into the fascinating history of mosaic, from ancient cultures around the world to modern fine art mosaics.

No prior art experience necessary - just an open mind and a willingness to experiment! All supplies provided.

NOTE: This camp is not eligible for Ivy Tech Employee Fee Remission due to limited capacity.
