Use the camera's phone or your own digital camera and learn the immersive and stunning art of 3D photography. Beginning with how we see and process the world with our eyes we will move through the history of 3D photography and cinematography. We will explore nearly most all forms of 3D in print and media from inception to the current day and a bit into the future. You will learn to set up your camera and the subject for mind blowing 3 dimensional shots. We'll use computers in the classroom utilizing open source (free) software to process and create your amazing 3D photos so you can share them with friends and family .

The class will take 3D photos daily around campus and grounds. The basics of photography aren't necessary to have fun in this class. Just a camera and excitement. Class will be peppered with the treat of watching 3D movies (in anaglyph) through this one week class. There will be demonstrations of the instructors' 3D camera collection for a more exploratory look into the art. This camp is for rising 6th-8th graders.

NOTE: If you experience headaches from watching 3D movies or VR for no less than 20 minutes then this class may not be for you. This camp does teach and enforce taking many "eye breaks" to rest our eyes from 3D glasses to avoid eye strain and to help build up eyes of those with weak eye muscles.

YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPS: A limited number of scholarships are available for Ivy Tech Youth Programs participants. Students must be eligible for free or reduced lunch through the National School Lunch Program to receive a scholarship. If you are interested, please click here for more information.
