StoneGate Visual Arts - Art Journaling (Grades 6-8)

In this camp for rising 6th-8th graders, students will make an art journal in a composition notebook using spectral color order to create collages. Imagery for our journals will be made from papers we will paint in class, printed papers, magazines and other found papers. We will spend time filling our journals and learning how to create strong compositions that are visually compelling. All supplies are provided, including a t-shirt, and all skill levels are welcome with plenty of room for individual ideas and preferences, so students are encouraged to get creative with this multi-faceted 2D art camp!

Scholarships: This summer we are teaming up again with United Way of South Central Indiana to offer scholarships that cover camp fees for children who qualify for free or reduced lunch within their school district. There is no need to pay first, please just make sure you have created a profile for your child on our registration website here and fill out the StoneGate Arts Youth Scholarship Form. Once you submit your form, we'll complete your registration and you'll receive a notification when it is finalized. For any questions, please contact lifelonglearning@ivytech.edu.

Transportation: The City of Bedford will be providing transportation support for this summer's StoneGate Arts Camps to all families located within the City of Bedford who request assistance (must give at least 48 hours notice when requesting to ensure availability). Please indicate your interest in the release form during registration or in our Youth Scholarship Form if you are requesting financial assistance for camp and we will follow up via email a week before the camp start with transportation request information.
