For aspiring young performers eager to dive into the craft of Musical Theater, Broadway Cabaret for Teens: The Teen Musical for rising 8th-12th graders emphasizes the importance of the ensemble while also providing opportunities for individual performers to step into the spotlight for solo and small group performances. Taught by an accomplished musical theater educator with expertise in music direction for teens, campers will build music, acting, and performance skills as they are led through a fun, collaborative rehearsal process to prepare songs and scenes from classic and contemporary teen-centric Broadway musicals. Mean Girls, Bye Bye Birdie, Dear Evan Hansen, Heathers, Bring It On, and The Prom are just a few of the shows campers will explore. The week will culminate in an afternoon showcase at the John Waldron Arts Center!
Camp showcase will be held on Friday, July 12 @ 3:30pm
