Calligraphy is the art of beautiful writing. With the use of simple tools and good technique, you will learn basic strokes and progress to a full alphabet. These strokes are foundational to all lettering. Instructor MarySue Schwab will demonstrate different lettering styles, decorative flourishes and show watercolor techniques to enhance designs. This class is recommended for all skill levels.

Note: The following supplies or their equivalent are recommended for this class. If you have questions or concerns about purchasing supplies, please let us know prior to the class start.

Supply List:
- 1/4 inch fat brush - available here
- Pen set with size 2.4mm or 3mm nibs and ink, such as Pilot or Speedball
- Ruler
- Pencil, HB or 2H
- Kneaded eraser
- Small, Smooth drawing board, or Masonite, 11"x14"
- Canson marker paper - available here
- Rhodia paper - available here
- Graph paper - available here
- Any other bleed-proof marker paper
