On-Camera Puppetry for Kids (Grades 5-6) is an introduction to the art of hand puppetry in celebration of Constellation's upcoming Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical! Students will learn the fundamentals of puppetry, including movement, weight, mouth action, lip synchronization, eye contact, breathing, and vocal and physical characterization. Learning the art of puppetry sparks creativity, builds confidence, fosters social-emotional development, promotes active listening, refines motor skills, and builds on skills in storytelling, all while having fun and making g friends along the way! With inspiration from popular series like The Muppet Show and Fraggle Rock, budding puppeteers will explore how to breath life into their puppets on camera as they create their own puppet show that will be filmed and shared for family and friends to enjoy!
