In this class you will learn the basics of wheel throwing. We’ll get our hands dirty and have some fun as we practice how to wedge, center, throw, form, and finish wheel-thrown objects. Projects will include making functional ware from start to finish such as cups, mugs and bowls. We will progress into more difficult forms and more advanced throwing techniques as students build confidence with the material. Finally, we will learn about glaze and finishing techniques that put the final touch on your ceramic creations.
Due to limited class capacity, this class is not eligible for Fee Remission to Ivy Tech Employees.
