A History of Presidential Elections (Virtual)

CRN : 60057-203
« back to classes page
ClassGraphic Unexpected and controversial outcomes are not something new in our Presidential elections, they go all the way back to some of the first contests in the nation's history. This lecture series will explore the ups and downs and challenges we have faced in trying to select our country's most powerful post. We will discuss little-known quirks and controversies, and explore the bigger disputed elections through the last 200+ years. Constitutional crises, fraud, hubris, and occasionally simple mistakes are to blame for throwing into doubt the results of our four-year Presidential races.
