This is a practical class designed to help solo cooks learn strategies for preparing nutritious and delicious meals that will last the entire week. We’ll work on making efficient shopping lists and portioning ingredients to optimize storage and reheating techniques, while also exploring versatile recipes that can be customized to suit individual tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you’re a busy professional, a student on-the-go, or simply looking to streamline your cooking routine, this class will empower you to take control of your meal prep and make the most of your time in the kitchen. This class will be based primarily on discussion and demonstration, though students will be provided with ingredients to make their own meal prep dish that showcases the basics on preparation and storage.

This class is not eligible for fee remission for Ivy Tech employees due to limited capacity. Please see our CLL fee remission guidelines for more information.

NOTES:

-  All CLL baking and cooking classes culminate with a shared meal or supplementary food that will be available during the class.

-  All supplies included. Students will receive copies of the recipes, as well as any remaining food to take home. Please bring containers to take home any leftovers.

-  We will do our best to accommodate dietary/allergy restrictions, though please be aware of the class details and potential limitations of ingredient substitution.

-  Ivy Tech Bloomington is a tobacco-free campus. Participants in CLL classes are expected to adhere to Ivy Tech's Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities.
