For the creative writer who wants to see their work come to life on stage, Constellation's Choose Your Own (Playwriting) Adventure offers rising 4th-7th graders a chance to hone their writing skills and stretch their imaginations through the art of playwriting. Using the classic Choose Your Own Adventure series as inspiration—and fresh off the heels of Constellation's Alex Gold: Stuck on Repeat—campers will learn how to craft their own mini-plays that explore fantastical adventures, alternate endings, and unexpected outcomes. Using Choose Your Own Adventure-themed activities and world-building improvisational exercises, campers will ultimately collaborate to build one cohesive story that will be showcased with a staged reading at the Ted Jones Playhouse by both campers and professional actors!
Showcase will be held on Friday, July 12 @ 3:30pm
What you'll need for camp:
- Filled water bottle
- Sack lunch
- Additional snacks as needed
- Closed-toe shoes (no open sandals or flip-flops permitted)
