Ever wanted your drawing or doodle to last forever? Well now it can! In this week-long introduction to mosaics for rising 6th-8th graders, you will learn how to make an original mosaic from your very own drawing. We’ll cover how to use the tools and materials, creating your artwork for the mosaic, choosing a substrate (fancy word for what you’ll stick your art to), mixing mortar, cutting and setting, and grouting. This is a hands-on class that concludes with a public art show where parents and friends are encouraged to see students artwork on display! All supplies provided.
