Explore the world of fermented beverages in this hands-on class focused on the science and craft of naturally fermented drinks. We’ll cover the basics of how fermentation works, the role of yeast and bacteria, and how simple ingredients transform into complex, flavorful beverages.

Participants will learn how to make their own fermented drinks at home, with guidance on techniques, safety, and troubleshooting. We’ll also sample a variety of fermented beverages to experience the range of flavors fermentation can create.

Perfect for beginners and the curious, this class offers an approachable introduction to crafting your own probiotic-rich and naturally fizzy drinks. Everyone will leave with a kombucha scoby!

This class is not eligible for fee remission for Ivy Tech employees due to limited capacity. Please see our CLL fee remission guidelines for more information.
