Beginning Watercolor: The Very Basics

A great way to start your watercolor journey! This course is designed specifically as an introduction for the very beginning student, offering the most basic elements of watercolor painting. Included are how to put paint onto paper, mixing colors, values, and brushwork. Students will be asked to work on projects outside the classroom. In class, the students share their artwork and learn to improve through encouragement, gentle critique and advice.

SUPPLIES: For the first class, students should bring any brushes and watercolors they have on hand. Please do not purchase supplies prior to the first class. At the first class, the instructor will provide a complete list of supplies needed for the remaining classes, which will be available for purchase on site at Bloomington Fine Art Supply.
