Using watercolor techniques, we will expand your repertoire of personal painting styles by trying out techniques of the "greats." We will start with Cezanne, who influenced many 20th century artists, and then each week we will focus on a different artist. Each week will be a mix of art history and tips gleaned from the featured artist's practice that you can apply to your watercolors.

PREREQUISITE: Students must have completed a beginning level watercolor course to participate. If you have equivalent experience and would like an exception, please contact lifelonglearning@ivytech.edu.

SUPPLIES: Students should bring their own watercolor supplies to class, including the following: watercolors, brushes, 140# cold press watercolor paper, palette, and anything else you prefer to use. Water containers, blow dryers, and paper towels will be provided.
