Come to our garden! Constellation's Acting Ensemble for Kids: The Secret Garden (Grades 3-4) is a fast-paced and fun exploration of stage acting that will use an imaginative theatrical adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s beloved and timeless classic, The Secret Garden – an uplifting exploration of the healing and transformative powers of nature, friendship, and positive thinking. Offering a range of roles that vary in size and type, this class is perfect for beginners, as well as acting students with some experience.
In addition to strengthening skills in reading fluency, active listening, teamwork, and public speaking, budding actors will focus on building a theatrical ensemble as well as developing individual acting technique, including voice and speech, creative movement, and exploration of world and character. Students will learn and practice the fundamentals of theatrical staging and theater etiquette as they “spring” towards a final showcase of The Secret Garden on March 11! Students will emerge from the class more articulate, confident, and collaborative performers.
