Ivy Tech Center for Lifelong Learning – Youth Programs Code of Conduct
Our youth programs are a community where everyone is respected, valued, and encouraged to express their creativity and passion for learning. To help encourage a fun and safe experience, we ask participants to observe the following guidelines:
Be Kind and Respectful During Activities
- Treat fellow participants, instructors, assistants, and staff with kindness.
- Use respectful language—no name-calling or hurtful words.
- Listen when someone else is talking and be supportive of others’ ideas.
- Participate fully with group activities and follow directions from staff.
Respect Supplies and Space
- Use equipment, supplies, and materials responsibly.
- Be mindful of keeping classroom spaces clean.
- Respect personal space and keep your hands to yourself—no touching others’ projects without permission, and no pushing, hitting, or grabbing.
Technology and Personal Items
- Personal items or electronics should stay in backpacks unless allowed by staff.
- Be responsible for any belongings you bring.
If Rules Are Not Followed:
Our goal is to create a fun environment for everyone to grow and learn. If a participant does not cooperate with others or follow directions from instructors or staff:
1) A staff member will speak with the participant to address the concern and encourage an appropriate resolution.
2) If the behavior continues, parents/guardians will be contacted.
3) Continued unsafe or disrespectful behavior may result in a participant being sent home.
Participant Agreement
By joining our youth programs, participants agree to follow these guidelines and help make camp a positive and welcoming place for everyone!
