Making pastry from scratch is a fundamental baking skill, but you don’t have to be a pastry chef to learn the simple technique of combining flour, butter and a little love. Participants will make (and roll!) both savory and sweet pastry doughs and then showcase the pâte’s versatility by using it with an appetizer (miniature quiches), entrée (suprême en croûte), and a dessert (almond tart). NOTE: This class will utilize All-Purpose wheat flour and is not gluten-free.
YOUTH ELIGIBILITY: This class is open to adults, as well as youth participants ages 12+ who plan to attend with an authorized adult who is also registered and participating.
This class is not eligible for fee remission for Ivy Tech employees due to limited capacity. Please see our CLL fee remission guidelines for more information.
