Step through the wardrobe! Constellation Stage & Screen’s Acting Ensemble for Kids: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is a fast-paced and imaginative exploration of stage acting that will use a theatrical adaptation of C.S. Lewis’s beloved classic, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe—a magical adventure filled with courage, loyalty, wonder, and the triumph of good over evil. Offering a range of roles that vary in size and type, this class is perfect for beginners, as well as young acting students with some experience.
In addition to strengthening skills in reading fluency, active listening, teamwork, and public speaking, budding actors will focus on building a theatrical ensemble while developing individual acting technique, including voice and speech, creative movement, stage presence, and exploration of world and character. Students will learn and practice the fundamentals of theatrical staging and theater etiquette as they journey into the world of Narnia and prepare for a final showcase performance of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Students will emerge from the class more articulate, confident, imaginative, and collaborative performers.
