Actor beware—you’re in for a scare! Constellation’s Acting Ensemble for Middles: Goosebumps: The Haunted Mask (Grades 6-8) is a fast-paced and fun exploration of stage acting that will use an imaginative theatrical adaptation of R.L. Stine’s spooky, wildly popular Goosebumps: The Haunted Mask. Students will step into a suspenseful, high-energy story filled with eerie surprises, big characters, comic scares, and the creepy question of what happens when pretending to be someone else goes a little too far. Offering a range of roles that vary in size and type, this class is perfect for beginners, as well as acting students with experience.
In addition to strengthening skills in reading fluency, active listening, teamwork, and public speaking, budding actors will focus on building a theatrical ensemble while developing individual acting technique, including voice and speech, creative movement, stage presence, and exploration of world and character. Students will learn and practice the fundamentals of theatrical staging and theater etiquette as they creep toward a final showcase of Goosebumps: The Haunted Mask on October 21! Students will emerge from the class more articulate, confident, and collaborative performers.
