“Found footage” films are some of the least expensive to shoot, but when done well, they can be extremely successful (Blair Witch Project, Area 51, Cloverfield) and be a great way to get your film exposed to a wider audience, even while on a shoestring budget. In Constellation’s Found Footage Filmmaking for Teens (Grades 7-12), budding filmmakers will learn how to write, crew, cast, shoot, and edit as they implement the particular “guerilla”-style cinematography used in found footage films. The class will culminate with filmmakers being guided through the process of submitting their short films to festivals.
