For rising 1st-3rd graders who aren't quite ready for a full day of camp, Broadway Beginnings: Broadway Dreams (Abridged) offers an introduction to the art of musical theater while promoting confidence and instilling the spirit of collaboration in young children. Broadway Beginnings ushers budding young performers onto a lifelong path of arts appreciation through creative group play in a fun, interactive, and supportive musical camp environment. Led by a professional musical theater educator, campers will spend the week exploring the aspirational and hope-filled songs of Broadway as they build skills in musicality, vocal performance, movement, stage etiquette, and musical storytelling. The week will culminate in an afternoon showcase that allows campers to shine in both group and individual performances!
Camp Showcase: Broadway Dreams (Abridged) showcase will be held on Friday, July 11 @ 11:30am.
What you'll need for camp:
- Filled water bottle
- Snacks, as needed
- Closed-toe athletic shoes (no open sandals or flip-flops permitted)
- Comfortable clothes for moving
NOTE: A limited number of scholarships are available for Theater & Film programs. Students must be eligible for free or reduced lunch through the National School Lunch Program to receive a scholarship. If you are interested, please click here for more information.
