Constellation’s Acting on Camera for Teens: The Close-Up is an on-camera, workshop-style class that focuses on the nuances of close-up screen acting through exploration of the technical distinctions between acting for the stage and acting for the screen. Students will learn techniques for creating effective on-camera close-up performances, including modifying vocal projection, gauging the size of gestures and expressions, maintaining eyeline, and understanding the camera’s ability to perceive a character’s thoughts. Classes consist of discussions, video examples, on-camera exercises, including monologue and scene work with video playback.
NOTE: A limited number of scholarships are available for Theater & Film programs. Students must be eligible for free or reduced lunch through the National School Lunch Program to receive a scholarship. If you are interested, please click here for more information.
